FAQ

Do you do commission works?

Yes, I currently do several commissioned abstract and contemporary paintings each year.  These can take from 3 to 8 weeks from time of order to completion.  I like to start with a phone conversation about which series you are interested, the size you need, what colors, where will the artwork hang, etc.

Can I order artwork over the phone?

Absolutely.  Please call me at 503-703-9279.

How much will it cost to ship my painting?

I will pay for all shipping costs in the US.  For international shipping, please contact me and we can work something out!

How will my painting be packaged and shipped?

All original works of art are carefully packaged.  I start by wrapping the painting in acid-free paper.  For small pieces, the painting will then be wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a cardboard box.  For larger pieces, I use 2” thick insulating foam board and cut it to the size of the painting (for all four sides).  I then custom make the cardboard box it will ship in. I typically ship via UPS or FedEx.

Return Policy?

The artwork can only be returned if it is shipped in the original packaging and returned within 7 days from the date of delivery.  You would be responsible for shipping costs.

What materials do you use in your abstract and contemporary paintings?

I use professional artist-grade acrylic paints and mediums.  For mixed media pieces, it can include acrylics, ink, chalk, pastel, charcoal, torn paper, and other items in my studio that will add depth, interest, and texture.

Should I frame the painting?

It can depend on the type of the painting, your personal preferences, and the location you will be hanging it.  All of my paintings are on 1.5-inch depth museum-quality gallery wrapped canvas.  Because of the depth and the fact that the canvas wraps around the wood frame, it has a clean and finished look.  All of my paintings are also wired and ready to hang.

How do I clean my painting?

You never want to clean a painting, only dust. I use compressed air in a can to blow away surface dust or use the soft fiber cloths you get for your computer or television screen.

Studio visits?

I love Studio visits!  Let’s schedule something!  To make the best use of our time, let me know which pieces you might be interested in beforehand and I can make sure they are ready for you to see.
